Distance between wood and aluminium shell – 4 mm rather than the 3 mm used by other manufacturers ensure optimum ventilation and drainage.

from the wood, allowing the shell to expand
and preventing condensation water
from reaching the wood

rabbet and centre seal instead of flush
profile at the bottom and no seal

Glazing bead milled (instead of nailed) to prevent air exchange via the glazing channel
which would lead to condensation between the aluminium profiles. Condensation water between
the profiles can cause the windows to
freeze over and damage the wood.
