1906 Andreas Dopfner founded his cabinet maker shop in Dingolshausen / South Germany
1963 Robert Dopfner headed the company and for the first time manufactured windows and doors for local markets
1970 Otmar Dopfner specialized production towards a more rational way of production with a larger market in mind
1990 The company moves to a new location in Gerolzhofen. Today we are manufacturing with the most updated technology windows and doors in the handworker, traditional way
2000 As the fourth generation, Frank and Mario Dopfner become the new leaders of Dopfner with a European wide distribution network
2001 Start of a uniquely designed distribution program for Dopfner products allowing the sales force more flexibility
2003 Sterling Windows enters the Canadian window market introducing the wood-aluminium tilt and turn systems in the Toronto Metropolitan area. Dopfner makes the decision to start an extensive addition of the existing plant.
2004 Sterling Windows becomes commercial partner with Doepfner. Doepfner began the construction for the plant extensions
2005 Sterling Windows became the sole distributor of Doepfner products in North America. Doepfner completes the new production plant.
